Guruji’s Maryada - Path of Discipline & Devotion

Guruji Maharaj never bound anyone with rituals or strict practices. Instead, he lovingly reminded us that there is maryada (a respectful discipline) in everything.

Guruji Maharaj never prescribed any specific naam or chant. Once, when the sangat asked which mantra they could recite, Guruji simply said:
“Om Namah Shivaya, Shivji Sada Sahai.”
This shows Guruji never imposed rituals or superstitions. For example, someone once asked, “Guruji, what should we do if a cat crosses our path?” Guruji smiled and replied:
“Is the cat bigger than your Guru? Just say ‘Jai Guruji’ and move ahead.”
Thus, while Guruji freed everyone from unnecessary customs or vyahams (superstitions), he also reminded us to maintain maryada in everything we do.

Guruji’s Swaroop (divine form) is complete in itself.
  • Do not decorate, alter or modify the swaroop in any way.
  • Guruji is present in every swaroop, small or big, each is a blessing.
  • Do not purchase Guruji’s swaroop. Instead, connect with Him from the heart.
  • When the time is right, Guruji Himself blesses you with His swaroop, often in unexpected, grace-filled ways.
Receiving Guruji’s swaroop is itself one of the greatest blessings.

Copper Vessel (Lota) Blessings

The Lota Blessing is Guruji’s Divine grace, often given to help critically ill or bedridden devotees.

If you can visit Bade Mandir, take a new, pure copper lota without dents or marks and get it blessed for the person needing healing.

If you are unable to visit, you may place the lota near Guruji’s swaroop at home and humbly seek his blessings.
How to Use the Lota:
  • The lota must only be used by the person for whom it is blessed.
  • Fill it with fresh water and keep it in a clean place.
  • Every morning Drink half of the water.
  • Mix the remaining half into the bath water.
  • Wash the lota daily with rakh (ash) or lemon. Do not use detergent, soap or chemicals.

Guruji’s Chai, Langar and Jal Prashad are not ordinary offerings, they are divine medicine. Guruji often said:
“Je ethe khaonge ta dawai, je ghar laike jaonge ta mithai.”

(If you eat it here, it works as medicine. If you take it home, it becomes sweets.)
Guidelines
  • Never say “No” to Prashad.
  • What is offered to you is specifically meant for you.
  • Do not alter it.
  • Finish it completely, do not leave leftovers.

We Are Not An Organiszation, Trust, Or NGO.
We are Guruji’s humble Sewadars, a family of volunteers who serve with love, dedication, and Samarpan offering our hands and hearts so that His light can travel farther and touch more lives. Every act we perform is guided by Guruji’s Maryada and devotion, keeping Sewa pure and free from material or monetary support.
These guidelines are not meant to control but to uphold the dignity, discipline, and love of Guruji’s Darbar. With devotion and humility, let us together preserve the purity of Guruji’s Satsangs worldwide.

Satsang should be simple, not like kitty party. One meetha, one daal, one sabji and chutney

If you wish to host a satsang or are planning to establish a Guruji Darbar in your city, we are here to support you in maintaining Guruji’s maryada.

Reach out to the Multilingual Global Sewadars Team to learn how to prepare your space, guide your Sangat, and uphold the values that keep His presence pure.

"True respect is shown not in words, but in how we serve."
