Guruji Maharaj never bound anyone with rituals or strict practices. Instead, he lovingly reminded us that there is maryada (a respectful discipline) in everything.
Guruji Maharaj never prescribed any specific naam or chant. Once, when the sangat asked which mantra they could recite, Guruji simply said:
“Om Namah Shivaya, Shivji Sada Sahai.”
This shows Guruji never imposed rituals or superstitions. For example, someone once asked, “Guruji, what should we do if a cat crosses our path?” Guruji smiled and replied:
“Is the cat bigger than your Guru? Just say ‘Jai Guruji’ and move ahead.”
Thus, while Guruji freed everyone from unnecessary customs or vyahams (superstitions), he also reminded us to maintain maryada in everything we do.

Guruji’s Swaroop (divine form) is complete in itself.
Receiving Guruji’s swaroop is itself one of the greatest blessings.
Copper Vessel (Lota) Blessings
The Lota Blessing is Guruji’s Divine grace, often given to help critically ill or bedridden devotees.
If you can visit Bade Mandir, take a new, pure copper lota without dents or marks and get it blessed for the person needing healing.
If you are unable to visit, you may place the lota near Guruji’s swaroop at home and humbly seek his blessings.

Guruji’s Chai, Langar and Jal Prashad are not ordinary offerings, they are divine medicine. Guruji often said:
“Je ethe khaonge ta dawai, je ghar laike jaonge ta mithai.”
(If you eat it here, it works as medicine. If you take it home, it becomes sweets.)
